Hobart Hurricanes go into this match as the 8/11 favourites with Stan James They will be without their regular captain George Bailey for this match though as he is away on Australia duty as is Xavier Doherty. Scott Styris misses the match through injury too. Tim Paine will skipper the side in Bailey’s absence while Jason Krejza will replace Doherty as the spinner. Ricky Ponting will be an able assistance to Tim Paine.
Brisbane Heat go into this match off the back of a pretty resounding defeat to the Sydney Sixers last time out. Although it went down to the last over the Sixers won more comfortably than that so Brisbane will need a better performance with the bat here. They will need someone to step up with the ball too as their best bowler in the competition so far, Ben Cutting, is away with Australia and misses this match
